						Before, the manuscript was bound in a dark half binding with brown and blue marbled paper on the boards. The binding
						is from <name type="person" key="KriKaa001">Kristian Kålund</name>'s time, i.e. ca. <date notBefore="1883" notAfter="1919">1883-1919</date>.
							This older binding is kept together with the manuscript, but in a separate blue box.</p></binding></bindingDesc>

											of the paper. The chain-lines appear to be horizontal.
											<p>On fols. <locus>9-17</locus>, the chain-lines run horizontally, and on fol. <locus>17</locus>, there is possibly a lily.</p>
											<p>On fols. <locus>18-29</locus>, the watermark is possibly a foolscap and the chain-lines run horizontally.</p>

												<item>II: fols. 9-16 (9+16, 10+15, 11+14, 12+13) (4 bifolia) <note>This quire used to consist of 5 bifolia, with fol. 17 of the following quire
													in the outermost bifolium. Its counterpart, which used to be in front of fol. <locus>9</locus>, is now missing.</note></item>
												<item>III: fols. 17-24 (17+24, 18+23, 19+22, 20+21) (4 bifolia) <note>The leaves have been joined during conservation. Fol. 17 used to 
													be part of the previous quire. The original quire structure cannot be recreated as the watermarks are unclear and
													some leaves may be missing.</note></item>
												<item>IV: fols. 25-29 (25+28, 26+27, 29) (2 bifolia, 1 singleton) <note>The leaves of the two bifolia have been joined during conservation

										<p>The leaves are untrimmed.</p>
										<p>All leaves are rather dirty and there are many stains. Most promenently, there is a dark stain in the top outer corners of fols. <locus>1-17</locus>, 
											all of which are damaged.</p>
										<p>The fore-edges of fols. <locus>1 and 29</locus> have been repaired with Japanese paper.</p>
										<p>Many leaves have been repaired close to the spine.</p>
									<p>Fol. <locus>29v</locus> is mostly illegible, because the ink is fading and the paper has darkened.</p></condition>

									half of fol. <locus>39r</locus>. The name <q>Eynar Jonsson</q> can be read several times.</p>
								<p>On fol. <locus>39r</locus>, an unknown hand has added a little drawing of a face with long hair and something coming out of the mouth or going into the mouth.</p></additions>
