                                            The countermark consists of two letters ("DI"?) in a frame.</p>

                                        <p>A characteristic large stain can be seen in the lower part of the fore-edges
                                    of all leaves. <note>The same stain can also be found in <ref>AM 615 b 4to</ref> and the first leaves of <ref>AM 610 a 4to</ref>,
                                        less clearly also in <ref>AM 615 a 4to</ref>.</note></p></condition>

                                <decoNote type="paratext">The catchwords are decorated with oblong loop-squiggles. 
                                    They are written in kurrent script.</decoNote><decoNote type="other">The edges of the leaves show traces of red colour.</decoNote>
                            <additions><p>On fol. <locus>1r</locus>, a small piece of paper (10 x 20 mm) was glued onto the outer margin, possibly covering some marginalia.</p></additions>
                            <bindingDesc><binding><p>The manuscript is bound in a grey cardboard binding from <name type="person" key="JenWeb001">Jens Jakob Weber</name>'s time, 
                                i.e. <date from="1771" to="1780">1771-1780</date>. For the pastedown, printed material was used.
                                On the font board, the shelfmark (including the letter) and the title were written in ink. 
                                On the spine, there are two stickers for the shelfmark and the running number.</p></binding></bindingDesc> 
                            <accMat>There is a loose slip in front of the manuscript containing information on the last check
                            done by the conservation workshop in Copenhagen in <date when="1991">1991</date>.</accMat> 
                            <origin>The codicological unit was written in 
                                <origPlace key="IS">Iceland</origPlace>.
                                Kålund dates it to the 
                                <origDate notBefore="1651" notAfter="1700">second half of the seventeenth century</origDate>
                                <bibl><ref target="KKKat">Katalog II</ref>, <biblScope unit="page">24</biblScope></bibl>. 
                                <p><name key="ArnMag001" type="person" role="owner">Árni Magnússon</name> 
                                    received the manuscript, of which this codicological unit was a part, from 
                                <name key="GisJon006" type="person" role="owner">Gísli Jónsson</name> in Mávahlíð 
                                in <date when="1709">1709</date>.
                                Before him, <name key="MagBjo002" type="person" role="owner">Magnús Björnsson</name> 
                                from Bessastaðir in Steingrímsfjörður owned the manuscript (see AM-slip in <ref>AM 615 a fol.</ref>).</p>
