                                        <p>On the flyleaves, there is a coat of arms of Amsterdam-watermark.</p></watermark>
                                    <foliation ana="later fol">There is later foliation in red ink in the top outer corners (1-3).</foliation> 
                                    <collation><p>There is one defective quire: <list>
                                        <item>I: fols. 1-3 (1, 2+3) (1 singleton, 1 bifolium)</item>

                                    <condition><p>The beginning is missing.</p>
                                        <p>The leaves have darkened and are dirty with stains, especially on the edges.</p>
                                    <p>Based on the worse condition of fol. <locus>1r</locus>, this may have been the outside of a small quire.</p></condition>

                            <additions><p>The flyleaves have handwritten text on them and used to be part of another manuscript. The size of the leaves
                                is  <dimensions type="slip" unit="mm"><height>202</height><width>165</width></dimensions> mm.
                                The former text seems to be continuous and was crossed out by <name type="person" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name>.
                            The text on the flyleaves can be identified as a part of <title>Annals</title> of the year <date when="1350">1350</date>. 
                            It starts with <q>I þen<ex>n</ex>a tïma kom drefölk so</q> and ends with 
                                <q>sende Laurencius Biskup Sera Eigil Eiölfsson</q>. <note>One bifolium of the same manuscript, 
                                also containing annals, is preserved in <ref>AM 554 a α 4to</ref>.</note></p>
                                <p><name type="person" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name> has added to the recto-side of the front flyleaf: 
                                    <q>Aptanaf Ulfs Sỏgu Uggasonar,
                                    ut mihi videtur, var aptarst i bok sira Þorkels Oddzsonar i
                                <binding><p>The manuscript is bound in a grey cardboard binding from the time of 
                                    <name type="person" key="JenWeb001">Jens Jacob Weber</name>, i.e. <date from="1771" to="1780">1771-1780</date>.
                                    The shelfmark (including the letter) and the title of the saga were written on the front cover.
                                    On the spine, there are remnants of two stickers for the shelfmark and the running number.
                                    The pastedown is made from printed material.</p></binding>
                        <origin notBefore="1651" notAfter="1700">
                            <p>The codicological unit was written in <origPlace key="IS">Iceland</origPlace>.
                                Kålund dates it to the <origDate notBefore="1651" notAfter="1700"
                                    >second half of the seventeenth century</origDate> 
                                <bibl><ref target="KKKat">Katalog I</ref>, <biblScope unit="page">753</biblScope></bibl>.</p>
                            <p><name key="ArnMag001" type="person">Árni Magnússon</name> borrowed 
                                the manuscript, of which this codicological unit was a part, from séra <name key="ThoOdd002" type="person"
                                    >Þorkell Oddsson</name> in <name type="place" key="GauGau01"
                                        >Gaulverjabær</name> (see additions).
                                <name key="ThoOdd002" type="person"
                                    >Þorkell Oddsson</name> had inherited the manuscript from his father
                                <name type="person" key="OddEyj001">Oddur Eyjólfsson</name> the older.
                                Earlier it belonged to <name type="person" key="EinEyj002">Einar Eyjólfsson</name>, 
                                and after his death it came into the possession of the named <name
                                    type="person" key="OddEyj001">Oddur Eyjólfsson</name>, who married
                                <name type="person" key="EinEyj002">Einar Eyjólfsson</name>'s widow. <name
                                    type="person" key="OddEyj001">Oddur Eyjólfsson</name> lent the manuscript 
                                for some time to his relative
                                <name type="person" key="PalOdd001">Páll Oddsson</name> <bibl><ref>Hast 
                                    1960: 2</ref>, <biblScope unit="page">151-152</biblScope></bibl>.</p>
