                                        there is a medium sized round watermark with a little crown or ornaments on top.</p>
                                        <p>Fols. <locus from="44r" to="67v">44-67</locus> bear a small foolscap watermark in a collar with seven bells.</p>
                                            <p>On the added leaves <locus from="42bisr" to="43v">[42bis] and 43</locus>, there is no watermark, but chain-lines are visible.</p>

                                    <p>There are some dark, larger stains, e.g. on fol. <locus>37r</locus>
                                        and in the lower outer corner of almost all leaves.</p>
                                    <p>Some of the leaves have been repaired close to the spine.</p>
                                    <p>On fol. <locus>[42bis]</locus>, the ink bleeds through the paper.</p></condition>

                                    Fol. <locus>43</locus> was written by the scribe, while fol. <locus>[42bis]</locus> was written by a different hand.
                            Fol. <locus>[42bis]</locus> is a small slip containing text missing on fol.<locus>42v</locus>; fol. <locus>43</locus> fills in 
                                    a lacuna indicated on the following leaf.</p></additions>
                            <bindingDesc><binding><p>The manuscript is bound in a grey cardboard binding with the titles of the texts
                                written on the front board. On the spine there are two stickers for the shelfmark and the running number.
                                The pastedown is made from blank paper.</p></binding></bindingDesc>

                            <origin><p>The codicological unit was written in <origPlace key="IS">Iceland</origPlace>.
                                Kålund dates it to the
                                <date notBefore="1601" notAfter="1700">seventeenth century</date> <bibl>
                                    <ref target="KKKat">Katalog I</ref>, <biblScope unit="page">702-703</biblScope></bibl>, 
                                but the active period of the scribe was ca. <origDate notBefore="1620" notAfter="1670"
