                                            The last three leaves possibly formed a quire with the first original leaves in <ref>AM 163 m fol.</ref></note>

                                of bold strokes and at times slight decoration. On the added fol. <locus>1v</locus>, the major initial spans ca. 3 lines
                                and is decorated by means of additional loops and squiggles.</decoNote>
                            <decoNote type="paratext">The rubric and first line of chapters (except for the first) are written in chancery 
                                 script and are slightly decorated.</decoNote>
                            <decoNote type="paratext">The catchwords are decorated with an angled line with a little hook on top.</decoNote></decoDesc>
                            <additions><p><name type="person" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name> had two leaves added to the manuscript which are now both located in front
                                but presumably used to surround the original leaves like a jacket.
                                The first leaf (now counted as front flyleaf) is blank.
                                The second leaf (fol. <locus>1</locus>) contains a transcription of the beginning of the text on its verso-side (fol. <locus from="1v" to="1v">1v</locus>). 
                                The text is written by <name key="ThoTho003" type="person">Þórður
                                    Þórðarson</name> on behalf of <name type="person" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name>. 
                                On the recto-side (fol. <locus from="1r" to="1r">1r</locus>), <name type="person" key="ArnMag001">Árni Magnússon</name> has added
                                <q>Alaflecks-Saga.</q></p>
                            <p>The text on fol. <locus>7v</locus> is crossed out with five diagonal strokes in each direction spread out over the
                            whole page. The rubric is crossed out with an additional horizontal line.</p></additions>
                            <bindingDesc><binding><p>The binding is a plain grey cardboard binding from ca. <date notBefore="1771" notAfter="1780">1771-1780</date>, 
                               the period of the librarian 
                                <name type="person" key="JenWeb001" role="librarian">Jens Jacob Weber</name>. The title and shelfmark are written 
                                onto the front cover and there are two stickers on the spine.
