                                        <watermark ana="yes"><p>There are different watermarks, mostly different versions of the foolscap:</p> 
                                            <p>Fols. <locus from="2r" to="3v">2-3</locus> show a countermark, which may read R(?)GH in an angled frame.</p>
                                            <p>Fols. <locus from="1r" to="1v">1</locus>, <locus from="4r" to="44v">4-44</locus> and <locus>46-49</locus>: large foolscap with
                                            five bells in the collar and a cord behind the head. The countermark consists of the letters "OOI" in a round frame.</p>
                                           
                                            <p>Fols. <locus from="50r" to="52">50-52</locus> and <locus from="53" to="54">55-56</locus>: 
                                            A small foolscap with seven bells in the collar
                                            and no countermark. Slightly thicker paper.</p>
                                            <p>Fols. <locus from="53" to="54">53-54</locus> have a small round watermark consisting of a double circle with some letters
                                            written around and a water lily in the centre; no countermark. Thinner paper.</p> 
                                            <p>Fols. <locus from="57r" to="60v">57-60</locus> show a different small watermark with a double circle 
                                            (or snake?) <note>Possibly the same as in <ref>AM 164 c fol.</ref></note></p>

                                        <item n="3">III: Fols. 13-18 (13+18, 14+17, 15+16) (3 bifolia) <note>The leaves have been repaired

                                            <item n="4">IV: Fols. 19-24 (19+24, 20+23, 21+22) (3 bifolia) <note>This is the centre of an original quire. There was one more 
                                            bifolium (18+25) surrounding it.</note></item>
                                        <item n="5">V: Fols. 25-30 (25+30, 26+29, 27+28) (3 bifolia) <note>The leaves have been repaired. Fol. used to be part of the 
                                            previous quire and the other leaves were probably part of a larger quire (see watermark).</note></item>

                                            probably belonged to two different quires (see watermark).</note></item>

                                <p>A different hand has added chapter numbers, starting with chapter nr. "xi".</p>
                            <p>In the lower half of fol. <locus from="1r" to="1v">1r</locus>, there was some text written
                                before the saga text was copied, as the saga text is written around it. The older words may read:
                            <q>Margar<ex>et</ex> Petursd<ex>ottir</ex> sali(?) DaDa J<ex>onssonar</ex></q>.
